Corey Wickens, Leader
Corey is a violinist who performs in many different orchestras, shows and ensembles in the UK and internationally.
Her love for musical theatre has led to her performing in the West End where she has played as a deputy violinist on shows such as Sunset Boulevard, Dear Evan Hansen and Disney’s Frozen The Musical. She also enjoys session and recording work and has played violin and viola on the newly released album ‘Imitation Games’ by cellist Nick Squires. She performed with Ed Sheeran at the Royal Variety in 2021 and was part of the string section for Michael Bublé’s Higher tour during Summer 2022. She has appeared in series such as Bridgerton and The Crown for Netflix and the National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals on BBC One.
She has played with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra and plays with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, most recently in their staged concert versions of Love Never Dies and Evita. She was appointed leader of the London Gay Symphony Orchestra in 2019.
